We’re delighted to introduce Bob Small as the new Director of Construction Services at Contemporary Tiny Homes. With decades of industry expertise and an unwavering passion for building homes that make a difference, Bob’s leadership will play a key role in shaping the future of our projects and continuing our mission of delivering exceptional ADUs (Accessory Dwelling Units) to families in Connecticut and Westchester County, New York.

Bob Small’s journey in construction began at an early age, growing up in a family deeply involved in real estate, land development, and construction. By the age of 12, Bob was spending his summers as a framing carpenter, laying the foundation for what would become a lifelong career in the industry.

At just 25, Bob had already stepped into leadership roles, managing the construction of a 150-unit condominium complex while contributing to dozens of other housing projects. His career continued to flourish, and in 2015, he founded his own design-build remodeling and custom home business, incorporating 3D CAD technology to bring clients’ visions to life before construction even began.

Bob has also developed a specialty in energy conservation, optimizing homes and commercial buildings for efficiency and sustainability—a skill set perfectly aligned with Contemporary Tiny Homes’ commitment to innovation and sustainability.

“As the Director of Construction Services at Contemporary Tiny Homes, I feel fortunate to bring a lifetime of experience and a genuine passion for building homes that truly matter,” Bob shared.

Bob will oversee the planning, execution, and quality of every ADU project. His hands-on experience, combined with his dedication to craftsmanship, will ensure each ADU we build exceeds expectations. From initial design to final inspection, Bob is committed to creating homes that are not only functional and beautiful but also tailored to the needs of today's families.

Outside of work, Bob is an adventurer at heart. Whether deep-sea fishing off Montauk for shark and tuna, skiing the slopes (a passion he’s pursued since the age of 3), or restoring classic American muscle cars from the 60s and 70s, he brings the same dedication and enthusiasm to his hobbies as he does to his work.

He is also a proud father to two accomplished children: Zachary, a published author ("Token Supremacy") and an investigative reporter for a NY-based national newspaper and Alexandra, a Senior Product Manager within the pharmaceutical industry.

We’re excited to have Bob on board and can’t wait to see the incredible projects he’ll lead at Contemporary Tiny Homes. His wealth of experience, innovative mindset, and passion for excellence will undoubtedly elevate the homes we create and the lives of the families who live in them.
