At Contemporary Tiny Homes, our mission is simple: to provide a seamless, stress-free experience for our clients by managing every step of the construction process. From the initial design phase to the final walkthrough, our team of experts ensures that your project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
We take pride in delivering high-quality tiny homes designed for long-term living. Unlike prefab or modular options, every home we build is unique, crafted to your specifications, and built to suit your property’s specific requirements. And because we’re a full-service construction company, we handle everything—permits, materials, inspections, and more—so you don’t have to. The result is a home that feels like your own from day one, without any of the headaches that usually come with construction.
Full-service Construction: We manage every detail, from zoning to design and building, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Locally Sourced Expertise: Our team is rooted in the local community. We work with local professionals and ensure your project complies with local building codes.
Built to Last: Our tiny homes and ADUs are more than just temporary structures. They are custom-built homes designed to provide comfort, functionality, and long-term value.

I truly believe that the homes we create can transform the way people live—whether it's bringing families closer together through multigenerational living or helping homeowners generate passive income to ease the financial burden of rising costs. In a world where the housing crisis and high inflation weigh heavily on so many, I’m proud to be part of a solution that offers real opportunities for comfort, security, and growth."
- Breno Neri, Co-Founder & President

As the Co-Founder and President of Contemporary Tiny Homes, I’m driven by a deep passion for making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I truly believe that the homes we create can transform the way people live—whether it's bringing families closer together through multigenerational living or helping homeowners generate passive income to ease the financial burden of rising costs. In a world where the housing crisis and high inflation weigh heavily on so many, I’m proud to be part of a solution that offers real opportunities for comfort, security, and growth.
With over 20 years of leadership experience across technology, finance, consulting, and pharmaceuticals, I’ve had the privilege of starting products, services, and teams from the ground up, both in my own startup and in large corporations. But what excites me most is the chance to build something that truly matters—homes that not only meet a need but also enrich lives.
Outside of work, my greatest joy comes from spending time with my wonderful husband and our four beautiful children. You’ll often find me sailing the open waters or riding my motorcycle, embracing the adventures that life brings.

I'm a major tiny home enthusiast. I love the architectural style, the low impact and carbon footprint, the fact that it brings families closer together and can also be used to increase revenue. I regularly review the latest in tiny home trends and styles and also enjoy speaking with tiny home owners to see how they are putting theirs to use.
I have worked in finance for over 20 years. Currently, I'm a senior vice president in a large finance organization in NYC, doing business and process analysis and improvement, as well as project management. My goal has always been to meet the needs of the customer, while balancing out with full stakeholder management.
My wonderful family is of the utmost importance to me. Additionally, I enjoy DJing events, as well as playing violin, piano and dancing. I love to network and learn of people's unique stories.

James Kitt brings a rare blend of investment insight, hands-on building experience, and disciplined project leadership to Contemporary Tiny Homes. With several years of experience spanning real estate, construction, and project management, he has successfully overseen complex renovations, multi-family investments, and value-add developments.
Before joining the residential construction world full-time, James served as an Engineer Officer in the Army National Guard, where he honed his skills in operational planning, team leadership, and logistics management. That background translates seamlessly to the construction field, where he approaches each project with strategic precision, clear communication, and a steady, solutions-oriented mindset.
Having personally renovated and managed multiple investment properties, James has a deep appreciation for the rhythm of construction, from sequencing and budgeting to contractor coordination and finishing details.
He’s particularly passionate about Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and smaller-scale remodels that help homeowners make the most of the spaces they already love. Whether it’s an addition for a family member, a home office conversion, or an investment project, James treats every build with the same attention to detail and care as his own home, which he built himself.
Based in lower Fairfield County, James lives with his wife and their two British Shorthair cats, Smudge and Tater. Outside of work, he enjoys working out, golfing, running, and savoring his wife’s homemade cooking. Together, they share a long-term dream of building and operating their own wedding venue — another expression of his love for creating spaces that bring people together.
